  • Crowell School of Business

    Jim Canning

I came as a student to Biola in 1960. It was either the first or the second year the school had moved to La Mirada. In those days, much of the Biola campus was basically vacant ground with a lot of weeds. Once a year we would have a "work day" and all the students would be assigned work projects to help clean up the campus. I distinctly remember cutting weeds where the Metzer building stands today. It is so wonderful to see how the school has developed in the years since I was a student here. We don't have work day for students any longer, but I think they helped instill in us pride in the campus and pride in being part of Biola.
